Sheet Racking

Sheet racking is designed to store large, flat materials like plywood, steel sheets, or plastics. The shelves are built deeper, usually 1200mm or more, so the sheets lie flat and don’t bow, warp, or twist over time.

It’s common in cabinet-making factories, kitchen manufacturers, metal workshops, and plastics suppliers. You’ll also see it in laser-cutting facilities or steel plants where sheets need to be stored safely and kept straight.

Typical bays are 2.6 to 3.8 metres wide, 1200mm deep, and up to 4.8 metres high. Load capacities range from about a tonne up to three tonnes per level depending on what’s being stored. You’ll usually find them in open areas of a warehouse to give forklifts plenty of space to move long or heavy sheets.
