Tyre Racking

Tyre racking is usually built from longspan shelving or pallet racking, with the frame width set so tyres can stand vertically, face-out between the beams. This lets you load them easily from the front, keep them secure, and stay compliant with workplace safety. Bay widths are typically 2.6–2.7m, and heights range from 2.4m up to 6m.

We see tyre racking in tyre shops, warehouses, and distribution centres, and it can be fitted on mezzanine floors or in tight picking aisles with order pickers. While there are also specialised stillages available for bulk transport, most workshops and stores use racking for their day-to-day storage. Getting it right not only keeps you compliant but also boosts your storage capacity, which means more stock on site and more room to trade.
